Therapy That Helps You Understand the Patterns Keeping You Stuck
Maybe you can't turn your brain off. You replay conversations, second-guess decisions, worry about what other people think, or feel responsible for keeping everyone around you happy. Maybe past experiences continue to affect your relationships, emotions, or the way you see yourself.
You don't have to wait until things feel unbearable to start therapy.
I provide virtual therapy for teens and adults throughout North Carolina who are navigating anxiety, overthinking, trauma, relationship concerns, boundaries, self-esteem, and other challenges that can make it difficult to feel like yourself.
Together, we'll work to understand what's happening beneath the surface, develop practical tools for the things you're dealing with now, and help you feel more confident navigating your life and trusting yourself.
What I Can Help With
You don't need to have the perfect diagnosis or even know exactly what's wrong to come to therapy. Sometimes you just know that something isn't working the way you want it to.
Anxiety & Overthinking
Your mind rarely seems to shut off. You might replay conversations, imagine worst-case scenarios, seek reassurance, struggle with uncertainty, or second-guess decisions long after you've made them. Therapy can help you understand your anxiety, interrupt unhelpful cycles, and feel more confident handling uncertainty without needing to have everything figured out.
Trauma & PTSD
Trauma doesn't always stay in the past. It can show up in relationships, emotional reactions, avoidance, hypervigilance, difficulty trusting others, or the way you see yourself. We'll work at a pace that feels manageable while helping you understand these responses, build safety, and develop healthier ways of coping.
Relationships & Boundaries
Maybe you have a hard time saying no, feel guilty when you prioritize yourself, take responsibility for other people's emotions, or keep finding yourself in relationship patterns that leave you exhausted or questioning yourself. Therapy can help you recognize these patterns, communicate more effectively, set healthier boundaries, and figure out what you actually want and need.
Self-Esteem & Self-Trust
When you're used to looking to other people for reassurance or approval, trusting yourself can feel surprisingly difficult. We can work on understanding where that self-doubt comes from, challenging the ways you talk to yourself, and building confidence in your own thoughts, feelings, decisions, and needs.
And Sometimes, It's Something Else
People don't fit neatly into categories. I also work with concerns including depression, grief and loss, life transitions, stress, ADHD and neurodiversity, identity exploration, emotional regulation, and other challenges that may be affecting your everyday life.
Who I Work With
Teens
Being a teenager can mean dealing with a lot at once: school pressure, friendships, family relationships, identity, expectations, and emotions that aren't always easy to understand or explain. I work with teens experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem concerns, neurodiversity, relationship difficulties, and other challenges affecting their everyday lives.
Therapy gives teens a space to talk openly, better understand themselves, develop practical coping and communication skills, and build confidence as they navigate challenges.
Adults
You may be managing work, relationships, family, responsibilities, and everyone else's needs while quietly feeling overwhelmed yourself. I work with adults who are struggling with anxiety and overthinking, trauma, people-pleasing, boundaries, relationship patterns, self-esteem, life transitions, and feeling disconnected from what they actually want or need.
Therapy can help you understand how you got here, recognize patterns that no longer serve you, and start making changes that feel right for you.
How Therapy Works
Therapy starts with understanding what's bringing you in, what you've been experiencing, and what you'd like to be different. From there, we'll work together to identify goals and determine what approach makes the most sense for you.
Sessions are collaborative and tailored to your needs. Depending on what you're working through, we may explore patterns, practice new skills, challenge unhelpful thoughts, process past experiences, improve communication, or respond differently to situations that tend to leave you feeling stuck.
You don't need to know exactly what you need from therapy before you begin. We can figure that out together.
