Fees & Insurance
Understanding the cost of therapy shouldn't be confusing. I accept several insurance plans and also offer a private-pay option for clients who prefer not to use insurance.
Individual Therapy
$130 per 55-minute session
For clients using insurance, your out-of-pocket cost will depend on your individual plan and benefits. This may include a copay, coinsurance, or deductible.
I recommend verifying your mental health benefits before beginning therapy so you have a better understanding of what your plan covers.

I am in-network with several insurance plans for virtual therapy in North Carolina, including:
Aetna
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBS)
Cigna
UnitedHealthcare / Optum
Oscar Health
Oxford
Insurance coverage varies by plan, so being in-network does not guarantee that services will be covered at a specific rate. Your cost may depend on your deductible, copay, coinsurance, and other plan benefits.
Before your first session, your insurance benefits can be verified so you'll have a better idea of your expected cost.
Not sure if I accept your insurance? Reach out and I'm happy to help you determine your options.

You do not have to use insurance to participate in therapy. Private pay may be an option if you prefer not to use your insurance benefits or if your insurance plan is not one I currently accept.
My private-pay rate for individual therapy is $130 per 50-minute session.
If you choose to use insurance, your cost will be determined by your individual plan and benefits. Depending on your coverage, you may be responsible for a copay, coinsurance, or costs toward your deductible.
Have questions about payment or insurance? Feel free to reach out before scheduling, and we can discuss your options.

I believe cost shouldn't automatically prevent someone from accessing therapy. A limited number of reduced-fee, sliding-scale appointments may be available for clients who are unable to afford the full private-pay rate.
Sliding-scale availability is limited and based on current openings. If cost is a concern, you're welcome to reach out to ask about current reduced-fee options.
We'll discuss the available rate before scheduling so you know what to expect before beginning therapy.

Cancellations & Missed Appointments
I understand that life happens and sometimes appointments need to be changed. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours' notice whenever possible.
Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a $50 late cancellation fee.
Missed appointments without notice may be subject to the full session fee.
Insurance does not typically cover late cancellation or no-show fees, so these costs are the client's responsibility.
